Record Type Description
Host A Create up to two records that point a name to an IP address.
Mail Server MX Create up to two records that specify which mail servers to use for a name.

Host A Points a name to an IPv4 address
Host AAAA Points a name to an IPv6 address
Alias CNAME Points a name to another host name
Mail Server MX Specifies which mail servers to use for a name
SPF TXT Reverse MX (what machines can send mail for a name)
Server Location SRV Specifies the location of a server for a specific protocol and name
Time To Live TTL You can modify how long DNS records are cached on other nameservers
